Fifteen years too late

It's a round like today that I wish I had started playing golf when I was much younger and had taken a lot more lessons. I had a great round despite my handicap, "mommy-itis", where I do not carve out the time to play golf in the summer. These days, I'm lucky to get out more than twice a year.

I certainly played with the men today, keeping only 4 strokes behind Kyle and taking off 10 strokes on the back nine from the front nine. I parred two holes and saved a couple of d-bogies. Woot-woot!

I started playing golf eleven years ago. My immediate goals were to always play within ten strokes of hubby and five years after starting out, to be on par with Kyle or better. I didn't take into consideration the kid factor; but dang-it, I'm there.

We made the stop for groceries and on our way back. I'll be taking a dip in the pool and see if I can erase some of this golfer's tan.

Ahh, finally in full vacation mode, thanks to advice from comments on yesterday's post. Thanks everyone. Keep the comments coming.

Hello Jensens...sounds like you are having fun and relaxing is good for you! Mom just got done with a Bridge party and so is feeling pretty happy although she did not have good cards. We are off to Mankato either tomorrow pm or Friday am to help the St.Peter Cullens-Dean has surgery on Friday. We will be there through next Tues/Wed just hanging and helping. I am looking for a couple of white nurse caps but didn't find them. So sad.

Pray for Dean. Also for Lori that we don't drive her nuts!
