It's 2:00 in the morning and I am just wrapping up some prep-work for a 9:00 meeting with the EVP of Interactive / Marketing. It's a group status to review financials, what's working / what's not, and what's coming up.
The last time I attended this meeting was six weeks ago. It was my first one. No one told me what to expect. I bombed. Terribly.
And due to various (non-work) reasons, I haven't attended another group status since.
I have spent almost 5 hours preparing for 10 minutes of fame. I really hope I get it right this time.

I know all about those nights of prep for brief moments in the sun. Relax. you'll be fine!
Just remember you're way better at your job than you are at 80s music trivia. You totally got this.
Damn. I wish I were way better at my job than I am at 80s music trivia ...

Jessica- did you seriously have to drudge that little factoid up?

My meeting went fine, however
I had bad placement on the docket. I went after the new girl on the block. She was WAY on top of her game. Made my information come across as such a yawn. Good thing I like new girl, otherwise I would be hating her a whole lot more.
Game on, new girl. Game on.
I figured I was at a safe enough distance to take a shot :) Glad it went well.
