Thursday was the first day of the Minnesota State Fair. This year, I went with my two sisters and we had a great time. Everything cliche about the State Fair is correct:
- just about every food is served on a stick (ironically, of everything we ate, only the pronto pups the girls ate were on a stick)
- there is a blue ribbon for everything
- it is a prime place for serious people watching
- you see everything from livestock to every possible radio station and tv station in the local area
- the politicians like to stomp
We covered a lot of territory in six hours. At the end of the day my feet were quite sore, but I can't wait to go back again.

The crowds never end

A fascinating Blue Ribbon winner...seriously?

oh yeah...now that you have at least one friend in Minnesota, perhaps you'll find a reason to attend the fair some year.
so i saw a couple of things listed, but where is the complete list of what you ate? we went yesterday, and the list is endless...
If you must know...all of the following was shared:
*One cup of Sweet Martha's cookies
*One bag of these interesting dough balls tossed in powdered sugar (one left over)
*Cheese curds (couldn't finish)
*Pig Lickers (wouldn't finish)
*Australian Battered potatoes (we couldn't even eat half of)
And, on my own, I had cheese bread with sauce while the girls had pronto pups.
The saddest part is that as we were starting our walk back to the bus, we all commented we could stand to taste one more thing, but didn't know what that one thing would be, so we opted not to get anything else.
wow...your list seems so small compared to mine! yes, most of mine was shared as well, but the pregnant one eats the most of course! i didn't even see those pig lickers anywhere. i wonder if nolan would have tried them? i just don't think i could do the chocolate & bacon together (pregnant or not).
It is nice to see all three of you together. Food looks REALLY good compared to what I've been eating...
You look great, all three of you look great.
