They really are very nutritious, high in protein, complex carbs, full of essential nutrients; a more perfect food has yet to be discovered. The only drawback is the desperately low supply, even in winter in Minnesota--high season for boogers. Yet, an all booger diet would be too much of a good thing. Best advice is to limit intake in case one gets stuck in an avalanche and needs to survive for days before rescue.
My mom said when she suggested to Robert that he shouldn't eat his boogers he said "But Nanny they're good. Here try one!" And he very kindly offered her one. She said "No thanks" and never mentioned it again.
My 9 month old niece is picking her nose too. They start young nowadays.
