My I.D. isn't welcome there anymore...

I made my way to the liquor store last night as I had to bring wine to a meeting at church (we Catholics like our wine). I got up to pay and pulled out my credit card and license. The cashier took my credit card and proceeded to slide it through the machine. I picked up my license to hand to her and she flipped my credit card over and asked, "Did you want me to check your signature? Because I usually don't unless it's written 'see I.D.'". I laughed and said, "No, I was hoping you'd check my license for my age. I've always been checked before! Oh god, I'm officially not young anymore!"

When was the last time you were carded?

I got carded when I was home in December, I kissed them and said thank you.

I have no idea. Even as a teen, I looked 25 ish and was rarely carded.

A few months ago and I told the young man "oh, bless you" with a big smile on my face!

I still get carded when I buy at the liquor store down the street. In fact, I got carded every single f'ing time at Wegman's in Virginia. Even with three kids climbing all over me, one of them 10 years old.

To me, getting carded is a PITA because I've already swiped my card and put my wallet away. :)
